insurance companies work on a no claim bonus premium system.If you have had no at fault claims or major violations for the last 5 years you will be entitled to a 60% discount on your premium. Even if you can only provide a good vehicle insurance history for 1 year you will still be entitled to some discount, the amount varies between insurers.
